Day 1: Arrival - Beijing

Arrive at Beijing airport in the morning, you will be met by our English speaking tour guide and transferred to hotel. Visit Temple of Heaven in the afternoon. Free time at night. Recommend you to walk around the famous shopping area - Wangfujing Street.
Day 2: Beijing (B, L, D)

Visit Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace. Watch Beijing Opera at night.
Beijing Opera is a synthesis of stylized action, singing, dialogue and mime, acrobatic fighting and dancing to represent a story or depict different characters and their feelings of gladness, anger, sorrow, happiness, surprise, fear and sadness.
Day 3: Beijing - Xian (B, L, D)
Transfer via: overnight train Train No.: Z19 (depart Beijing at 21h24, arrive Xian at 08h25 next day)
Day tour to Mutianyu Great Wall, Ming Tombs (Changling) & Sacred Way. T ransfer to Xian by overnight train, soft sleeper. Read more background knowledge of train transfers in China.
Day 4: Xian (B, L)
Pickup from train station, transfer to hotel to freshup and have breakfast. Full day tour to Terra Cotta Warriors, Big Wild Goose Pagoda & Bell Tower.
Today will be your highlights in Xian. The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses are the most significant archeological excavations of the20th century. It has been regarded as THE 8TH WONDER OF THE WORLD! Over 2,200 years ago, the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang in search of immortality, ordered the construction of a vast army of 8,000 life-sized Terra Cotta warriors and buried with him to protect his empire after his early death. They were discovered accidentally in 1974 by farmers digging a well. For history lovers, the sight is truly breathtaking.
Day 5: Xian - Luoyang (B, L)
Transfer via: train Train No.: K618 (depart Xian at 15h33, arrive Xian at 20h35)
Visit Shaanxi Provincial Museum, Old City Wall, transfer to luoyang by train in the afternoon.
Old City Wall: It is the most complete city wall survived in China as well as one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. The wall was built in the Tang dynasty (618 -907) and enlarged in the Ming dynasty (1368-1644).
Day 6: Luoyang - Shaoling Temple (B, L)

Visit Longmen Grottoes, White Horse Temple, the first Buddhist Temple in China. And Cave-dwelling House.
Longmen Grottoes: More than 100,000 images and statues of Buddha and his disciples were carved into the cliff walls on the banks of the Yi River, a treasure house of ancient Buddhist cave art.
The grottoes were hewed and carved during the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534), when the rulers relocated their capital at Luoyang near the end of the 5th century. At that time Buddhism was spreading east into China and was venerated by the imperial court. The Buddhists adopted the practice of carving rock temples, dedicated to the Buddha.
Day 7: Luoyang - Suzhou (B, L)
Transfer via: overnight train Train No.: 1351 (depart Luoyang at 16h30, arrive Suzhou at 07h22 next day)
Visit Shaoling Temple, you might watch demostration of Shaoling Kungfu (optional). Transfer to the train station for the train to Suzhou in the afternoon. Stay overnight on the train.
Days 8: Shuzhou (B, L)

Pickup from train station, transfer to hotel to freshup and have breakfast. Take an hour town cruise on the Grand Canal, visit Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill, the No. 1 Silk Factory.
Day 9: Shuzhou - Tongli - Shanghai (B, L)

Visit ancient water town of Tongli. Back to Suzhou, transfer to the train station for the train to Shanghai. Pickup by your tour guide at Shanghai railway station and transfer to the hotel.
Tongli: Surrounded by several lakes, this 0.67-square-kilometer town is divided into 7 parts by the 15 river courses at its midst. This is a town on the river whose streets are supplemented by rivers, upon which numerous boats float back and forth.
Day 10: Shanghai (B, L)

Visit Yu Garden, Old Town Bazaar, Shanghai Museum. Free time on Nanjing Road - the most famous shopping street in Shanghai.
Yu Garden. This delightfully restored labyrinth of tiny specialty shops, tea and snack houses centered around a Ming - dynasty mandarin Suzhou-style garden is a fascinating spot to people-watch over a pot of tea, to shop for unique souvenirs and to get a feel for Old Shanghai. It is well worth a meander through the Yu Garden, which has many scenic courtyards decorated with baroque rockery, pools and flora, all connected by corridors and passageways.
Day 11: Shanghai - Depart (B, L)
Transfer via: coach
Jade Buddha Temple, the Bund, Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Later today you will be transferred to airport for flight to sweet home.
